Carnival

The Town Council's Carnival party will be held on 20 February with the Los Satélites orchestra. The costume contest will award €5,200 in prizes. It will take place in Santa Cruz, at the Arsenio Iglesias pavilion, and will begin in the mid-afternoon. There will also be carnival parties in all the parishes of the municipality organised by neighbourhood associations: Lorbé: Saturday 14th - 5 pm - Casa do pobo; Iñás: Monday 16th - 6 pm - Casa do pobo; Dorneda: Monday 16th - 5.30 pm – Casa do pobo; Oleiros: Monday 16th – 6:00 p.m. – Casa da República; Perillo: Tuesday 17th – 5:00 p.m. – II República sports centre; Dexo: Tuesday 17th – 5:30 p.m. - Casa do pobo; Nós: Tuesday 17 – 5:00 p.m. – Plaza da Liberdade; Santa Cruz: Saturday 21 – from 5:00 p.m. – Civic Centre; Mera: Saturday 21 – from 1:30 p.m. – Praza da Lagoa.
