Bicycle

The bicycle lane here connects the centre of Mera, Santa Cruz and Santa Cristina villages with the city of A Coruña, so moving around these villages and getting to A Coruña city centre is easier and safer for cyclists.

Oleiros bicycle lane (12,7 km long and medium difficulty) has some stretches that are exclusive for cyclists, whilst others are shared with pedestrians.

Coach

Throughout the year, Alsa Calpita coach company drives through the area, connecting Oleiros with A Coruña city centre and the coach station.

In addition there is also a municipal bus service that crosses Oleiros from North to South, from Lorbé to O Burgo (in the nearby Culleredo Council). Buses leave on the odd hours from Lorbé (from 7 am to 9 pm) and on the even hours from O Burgo (from 8 am to 8 pm).

During the summer months (15th of June to 15th of September), the A Coruña city bus service line 1A connects the town centre of A Coruña with Santa Cristina Beach every 16 minutes.

A good option to obtain significant discounts on the bus fare is to get the Galician metropolitan transport card. This card can be purchased at Abanca bank branches and may be used in any transport service that has joined the Metropolitan Plan of the Xunta de Galicia regional government.
